Q1 What are the minimum hardware and software requirements needed to run Skillsarena?

Q2 How long does it take to setup and install Skillsarena?
Installing Skillsarena is a very quick process and takes a few minutes per workstation. We also have installation options which allow multiple workstations to be installed at one time. Depending upon your network security you may need to obtain administrator rights to complete part of the Skillsarena installation process.
Q3 Which browsers can I use to run Skillsarena?
You can run Skillsarena on the following browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer V6 or later, Netscape V7 or later, Mozilla V1.0 or later and Opera V7.11 or later. You may need some extra configuration with non-Microsoft browsers to complete the installation.
Q4 How do I run the setup file to install Skillsarena?
The setup file is found at www.skillsarena.com/setup. You need to run step 1 and download the web players before running step 2. Depending upon your network security you may need to obtain administrator rights to complete part of the Skillsarena installation process. There is also access to the setup file within the Skillsarena product so that you can check that your system is ready at any time.
Q5 What type of tests can I take with Skillsarena?
There are a variety of tests available within Skillsarena. These range from full simulation of software such as MS Word, MS Excel and Sage, through to typing tests and customised tests. To find out more about our Suites please go to www.skillsarena.com/solutions/productportfolio.asp.
Q6 Will Skillsarena run on my server?
Skillsarena can be installed on a dedicated server within your own environment. We have clients who have Skillsarena installed on their servers and run via their intranet. We would discuss your requirements with your IT department and make our recommendations as appropriate.
Q7 What do I do if I have a problem?
If you experience a problem please contact our help desk on 0870 351 2300. We are available from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am and 5.30pm. Alternatively, you can mail us at support@skillsarena.com. If you are a candidate taking a remote test, you can also email us at remote.testing@skillsarena.com.
Q8 Is Skillsarena online testing easy to use?
Skillsarena is very straightforward and simple to use. There is online help where appropriate and each screen has clear, practical instructions. There is a detail user guide which can be despatched to you upon request.
Q9 How do I see a demonstration of Skillsarena?
To find out more about Skillsarena you can either visit our demo page which is found at http://www.skillsarena.com/Demo/index.asp and register for a mini demonstration or you can see Skillsarena in action and speak to one of our sales people by calling 0870 067 8849. We can also setup an evaluation account if you prefer.
Q10 Do you provide training?
We can provide training either at your own offices, or at our offices in St Albans. We can run a "Train the trainer" course if this is more suitable in your organisation. You will receive a brief introduction to Skillsarena via phone when your account is opened.
Q11 How do I log in if I’m a client?
To log in as a client go to www.skillsarena.com/ClientZone/Index.asp. If you have a branded version of Skillsarena then you will need to go to your own Skillsarena micro site. If you need further assistance with logging in or have forgotten your account details please contact us.
Q12 How do I log in if I’m a candidate?
To log in as a candidate go to www.skillsarena.com/RemoteTest/Index.asp. You will have been sent a Remote Test Notification email containing your unique username and password. If you need further assistance with logging in or have forgotten your account details please contact your test administrator or as a last resort, contact us.
